Last year, I attended a writing workshop with Elizabeth Gilbert. She’s the author of Big Magic, a powerhouse book about creativity.
In the workshop, we gave ourselves a permission slip to overcome our hesitations and resistance to creativity.
We all face cultural conditioning lead us to deny ourselves creative permission. This may include beliefs like “I don’t have the time to be creative,” or “I’m just not born creative.”
We are also conditioned to withhold from ourselves permission to heal.
Women, in particular, are conditioned to anticipate, accommodate, and serve others’ needs.
We’re trained to say “yes” to everyone else needs: our partner, our children, our work, our community.
But we don’t know how to say “yes” to our own healing.
In this video, I share a simple exercise that will train you to give yourself permission to heal. Because the only person who will give you permission to heal is YOU.
