  1. I have lost hair over the years from accutane. (Which by the way, did clear my skin but caused tons of terrible side effects). Cutting out grains and processed sugar was just as effective with only positive side effects. My hair never seemed to get better, until I made two changes…started with Morocco Method products, and started taking collagen. I have been using Great Lakes but am going to try Vital Proteins next. I noticed a difference after a few months. It has been over a year and my hair just keeps getting better.

    As for hair loss, I might add one thing to your excellent list: copper-zinc imbalance, often from consuming too much copper and not enough zinc (can be an outcome of avoiding zinc-rich red meat while getting excess copper from copper-rich foods and environmental sources).

  3. I have to say that this is an excellent article. If you are really losing hair then some of the tips here are very valuable. Because I’ve went through a time period where my hair was shedding like crazy I had to do thorough research to reverse it and the info you’ll find here are better then what most qualified doctors have to say on hair loss.

    Though I would say this, consuming collagen is literally pointless but consuming gelatin as weird and out of nowhere it just came from is one of the best way to regrow your hair back along with the other points in this article.

    • I don’t see what’s pointless about consuming collagen. It’s just broken-down gelatin… it’s protein. Putting it on your hair externally, however, IS pointless. That may be what you actually heard.

  4. I have seen on my head that at some parts hairs are not as much denser as on the other parts. I am teenager boy and i am confused whether my hair was really falling or not. I want your advice for this and suggestion to how to stop my hair falling.

    • I would recommend using coconut oil or tea tree oil any kind of oil is good but try.not using gel too much and brush hair when nessesary and also try getting hair cuts at least once a month to keep hair even

  6. I have to short hairs nd a big reason behind this is lack of proteins bcz of my bad health nd m also suffering from cealic disease or wheat ellergy. do u have any suggestions for this??? rply plzzz

I have also noticed that I am losing less hair as well when brushing and washing. This product does not leave your hair looking oily either. Great product!

  8. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some extensions. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my natural hair. I just don’t know what to do. my hair has also NEVER been shorter than this and it breaks and falls out. What should i do to regrow hair?

  9. Are these suggestions to regrow hair loss or to halt it, or is the collagen just for making your hair grow faster? I have very thin hair and it is falling out. I really don’t want my hair to grow any faster

    • I think this article addresses how to get hair to grow, not necessarily if it’s falling out…like mine 🙁 Although, there is one part that discussed a hormonal imbalance, which can lead to hair loss. As far as collagen, I highly doubt it drinking it daily would help hair grow back or stop shedding if you have a specific condition that causes it. I suffer from hair loss, and NOTHING has helped me thus far. I’ve purchased Collagen, supplements, you name it, I’ve bought it. With all the money I’ve spent on things like this, I probably could have saved up and went for a transplant! At this point, I’m thinking it’s the only thing that might help me achieve permanent results. Good luck to you, 🙂

  10. I first started noticing losing hair in my early-mid twenties. I used to have tons of thick hair, and then one day getting out of the shower, I noticed my scalp sections in the mirror. Since then, it has been steadily falling out & getting thinner in my crown area. I’m almost 35 now. I never did anything to counter-act it b/c I just figured there was no cure, and this was my destiny. I did schedule a dermatologist appt a few years ago, and he gave me some topical stuff to put on my scalp, which caused me to break out, so I discontinued using it. I WISH I had taken additional measures when I first noticed it. It’s now VERY thin, & I have major scalp visible. I’ve considered wigs, etc. It’s very depressing as a woman, and all I think about. I’ve taken every supplement, tea, shampoo, etc. Nothing seems to help. Recently, I was diagnosed w/ PCOS, which led me to research hormonal imbalances. I’ve changed my diet, lost weight, and I still continue to lose massive amounts of hair. So discouraging…I wish there was a cure.

  11. I have been using NuhairRX Serum for quite some time and it’s messy and it leaves my hair looking hard and crispy. I like NuhairRX Serum better because the spray is easy to concentrate on the area I need it to go on. It also dries without making it look like I have applied anything. It leaves my hair feeling soft if I do get it in my hair. I hope to see good results
